UPDATE

Champions Quinton have had to settle for fifth place in the Aquaid Division 1, a frustrating season.
Being unable to field the same side in consecutive matches was a big factor, the lads giving of there best came up short.
This reflected on the reserve outfit, who to there credit kept going, but had little help from the `spare` first teamers.

Our friends at the Czech Republic unfortunately pulled out of there trip to Quinton. We hope to travel to Czech next Easter, and renew old acquaintances.

REPORTS

Another season has come to a close, sadly with the Champions being dethroned. We picked up from the Christmas period, when still in touch, but never won consistently to keep within touching distance of the top. Bidford won by a mile, there goalscoring of 110, being 61 better than ourselves.

Pld 24 won 12 drew 4 lost 8 for 49 against 40 pts 40
Goalscorers; Lukas Pavlik 12 (6 cup), Dan Jennings 11, Mark Morrey 9.
The Reserves managed to cross the finish line, though a poor season was had. Hopefully the juniors will, with the help of more senior players, improve next season.

Pld 24 won 1 drew 1 lost 22 for 22 against 86 pts 4.

Another fun packed evening, with the odd fall adding to the excitement, saw the race night a great success.
A big thanks to Sue,Verena, Graham and Peter, to Andy for refreshments, John for being the auctioneer, and to all who attended.

CHANGING FACILITY

It was a proud day in the fife of Quinton Football Club, when the build was officially opened.

Although the build is for the community, facilities for sport in the village have been poor, to say the least. In over 100 years of football in the village, our best has been one shower for each team in a portakabin.

Thanks are many......... Nick Bond and the Village Hall Committee, for funding the project. Mike Brain for his aiding of the fund, the Parish Council, Maurice Howse, Keith Turner and Trevor Batchelor for his tireless work. Finally a big thanks go to John Devine, Aaron Fawden and Andrew Nicholls for kick starting the build, and all the lads who helped from the Football Club. Apologies if I have missed anyone.

Any spare cheques would be gratefully accepted, as we still have a few bills to tie up.
